Hi, has anyone replaced a EV charger? I had a pod point installed a few years ago by pod point, so all the electrics is ready and in place. There is nothing wrong with the pod point but I was wondering if I wanted to change the charger is it much cheaper now as everything is already in place and it's just the charger needing changing? Has anyone done it? Was it much cheaper? The ohme home pro through octopus is £999 with instalation but the equipment itself is just £533

As Alb said, don't buy a big package which assumes a lot of electrical work will be involved.
Contact a few local electricians to ask if they would install a charger of your choice.
It sounds like it isn't a distress purchase so you can take your time and wait for the cheaper option to be available.
