Reverse parking car rolling back when on drive mode

Yep, I think my reaction was to brake, confirm drive was selected and try again but with a little more confidence after double checking. Doing it somewhere you can be sure of no damage to reassure yourself on how it will behave is definitely best.

Hill hold does not work in Reverse Gear as above

I'm going to have to check that out, Hill start assist should work in D or in R, it did on my ZS.
I've not had a chance to use it in reverse yet in the 4.

Yes, but I was on drive mode, when car rolled back.

Are you sure you weren't in neutral ?
The driver's screen should show you.
