Is it normal to deal with other companies on the Caribbean islands and have large items shipped between them?
Hi Stuart,
Will do.
It is not normal to buy vehicles from other Caribbean Islands. However, many roll-on roll-off cars come to Trinidad from Japan and Singapore. Some people bring vehicles from the UK but it is rare.
Taking a bit of a gamble but Megapower has a good reputation I figured it was worth taking the risk. They promised to support remotely, they can ship parts over easily from their stock, and if the worst comes to the worst, we fly in a technician (when our borders open again!!!)

Hi All,

Ordered the MG SV EV Exclusive last week via work salary sacrifice scheme. Had a long list of issues/ bad luck with the last few used ICE cars I'd purchased (reliability, fuel cost, constant repair bills) and was always interested in electric cars; done a lot of research and the the SV EV along with the lease terms seems to be the perfect fit for me at the moment.

Anyway looks like it's not that far off from delivery as they have the one in stock that I wanted, so will be visiting here often and updating once it arrives.

Hullo everyone. I've just traded my aging diesel Passat as it was beginning to chew money (ABS sensors X 2, EGR valve [ouch] and a cambelt plus water pump every however often), plus Dieselgate (mod not done, after taking advice from some independent VW specialists and I've joined the group action against VW).

It was probably going to be a Kia eNiro until I saw the offer late last year on the MG5. OK, range is a bit down but not disastrously so and at £7-8k cheaper it was self- selecting.

Still getting used to it at the moment, but all good so far.

Oh, and it's got a good online forum.

This'll be the second 'leccy car I've driven. I had a week's use of a BMW i3 a while back, which was very pleasant. Just like the MG, it went like stink away from the lights.

Hi all. Got my MG5 Exclusive a couple of weeks ago and love it. Really impressed with the quality of the ride, the smoothness of the drive, and the equipment level for the price. Spent the previous 5 years driving an Outlander PHEV so was aware of the niceties of the EV world. Didn't need the size anymore and the 4WD I'd only used a handful of times.....and wanted to go BEV at a sensible price. And this is very sensible.

Hi all - I traded a 10 years old diesel for a brand new MG ZS EV Exclusive after I got a cracking deal from my local dealer (I got about £5,500 off as well as £1,500 more than I had been offered for my diesel car, at another place). This is the wife's car but I will have to drive it every so often as she only uses the car to go shopping or on local errands, to ensure it gets a good run!

My usual car's an Outlander Plug-in Hybrid, so used to driving electric and I'm looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the MG ZS EV.

I will be searching the forum and questioning other members as I intend to make a few upgrades and will share any knowledge gained so we all benefit (especially from my mistakes I will undoubtedly be making!) 😂😅

See you around the forum.

Cheers

Great to see another Scottish based member ☺️

Have a look at our Scottish members- where are you?

Hi all, got my first ev on the 1st march a new zs ev so very new to electric. I must say i'm very impressed so far by the all round quality although being a regular german make buyer i feel the thickness of the metal is poor (but light) with the wife getting supermarket dings already. I would be very interested in members recommendations for maximising the mileage available, also can we heat the car while it's locked and on charge. looking forward to your reply's

Hello all, thank you for adding me. I have just placed my order for the MG 5 and hoping to pick it up in the next few days. Looking forward to helping to save the world :) and saving a few quid. I am sure once I get it I will have plenty of stupid questions. I have been watching the podcasts and find them informative and humorous, keep up the good work. I currently drive a petrol Seat Ateca and while it is a nice car with lots of toys I am really looking forward to the change.
Thanks.

Hi. I'm Martin from Tain in the Highlands and I hope town a new MG EV in the next few weeks or months. My current car is a Hyundai Tucson TDi so it's a bit of big decision to switch. Also as I am a Motability driver it's not so easy to have a car delivery up here but I am pretty determined.

Hello all.

Fifty years driving

We loved our Morris Minor

Before our Mini cars and Imps

Then Chevette, Ital and Vivas

‘Til a Landy caught our glimpse

That turned us on to diesel, and

our Maestros were stupendous

After a Clio and trio of Kangoos

Our Mercedes was horrendous

We’d been lured to automatics

‘Twas one of Mercs big factors

But instead of that horrible heap

We’d been safer driving tractors!

Berlingos and C3 from Citroen

Were our automatical choice

Now fossil fuel rejection

Has sparked a desire to rejoice

Now retired, injected and able,

With a charged up ZS to set free

So after this lockdown is over

We’ll enjoy our electrical spree !

Hi there,
I'm Paolo, I'm from Rome - Italy (useless to specify )... and I'm here to find some information on new MG models. In fact I love to read and heard experiences directly from owners and people that can share their passion.

I hope to find here something special... I want to go electric but I think in Italy the prices of cars are still too high, and we've few charging points. So this is why I chose to find out more on MG.

Oh... yes... I'm looking for Marvel R or maybe HS. I'm still undecided. :sneaky:

Enjoy

Ciao Paolo! Welcome and nice to have you with us. I'm jealous that you're undecided between 2 very good cars! All of us here are very passionate about our cars so don't be afraid to ask questions - we appreciate you don't own an electric car yet, so some of your questions may be 'basic' but we're all learning (I've only recently learned something about how long the ZS EV can go an a rapid charge!) but there's no such thing as a stupid question (y)

Anyway, I'll see you around the forum. Hasta la vista.

Cheers

Welcome to this forum, MG ZS EV it's also a great car, cheaper than Marvel R or HS, it's well made, equipped and represents incredible value for money, in my opinion.

Hi all, new to this forum but a good few years with MG's and Rovers. Have an HS Phev coming my way in September from Summit in Dudley. A Farrington red exclusive with red leather. Wife is calling it the pimpmobil. Got a charger being installed during August so all is cooking ready for September.
