Hi all, had my 5 for a week now and really pleased with it. I’ve noticed a couple of times when I open my house door and press the lock button on the car key fob to check that’s it is locked the horn sounds about 5 times and the lights flash. Is that the alarm setting? Can’t find anything in the online guide?

I still do that, occasionally. I'm not really certain what it is indicating, just that I've done something wrong.

The one you really want to watch out for is opening all the windows by doing an inadvertent long press on door unlock. I managed two flooded cars before I twigged how that happened. The key has a very long range, and goes through walls, so you could do it whilst in the house without hearing the windows opening.

But the reverse is a useful trick as you approach the car on a hot day, to let most of the heat out before you get there.

Check it's locked by trying the door handle.

Think that’s only the Trophy that has folding mirrors. I have the pauper SE model

Hi, you have triggered the panic alarm - no big deal just leave it longer before checking it is locked or look at the folding door mirrors.

It could be the find me function had this happen at work, I got your car alarm is going off but it's not very loud, is fun in a car park if you see someone getting close or being nosey press the lock button & watch them look around when they think they have set the alarm off

I've set my "find my car" to flash light only ... accidentally pressed the key while in my pocket inside the house and got a fright with the horn sounding on my MG4
