This morning it was finally time to pick up my ordered MG 4 Comfort in Andes Grey:

All is excellent with the car and driving home in it was an absolute delight for me, coming from a 10 year old Peugeot 208 ICE car. :)

So now I've officially joined the MG 4 Electric owners group here!
Very nice indeed! Welcome to the club. You’ll have to change your profile to Driving: MG4.

Just a few pics of the new car, out with the old and in with the new

The ride home was pure bliss…😍
I collect mine next Wednesday from MG Burnley. As I live near Sheffield it will involve a 70 mile journey home, the latter part being on the A57 Snake Pass. I have done this part of the route many, many times in a variety of cars so I am really looking forward to doing the trip in my MG4.

Took a trip down to the coast this weekend in my MG4. It was really lovely to drive, and overtaking a whole new world even after owning a diesel Mercedes this thing has great power (and that was in eco mode!)

First rear wheel drive car for me and it's noticeable! Loving it.

Was very muddy with all the rain so had to wash her this morning and get the mudflaps fitted.

Had our red Trophy delivered on Friday. Overall very impressed.

Drives really well. Had one instance of emergency braking activating when my wife turned into a side road at low speed, but we had just had it washed, which may have affected sensors. Aside from that been very pleasurable. Lane assist has activated a couple of times but not been too alarming or intrusive. Not inclined to turn it off just yet.

Glad we went for the red when we switched from the white SE LR we originally had on order.

Charging has been straight forward. We've charged via granny the first night, tested a supercharger where we hit 100kw+ in the 10 mins it was plugged in, and then had the above small 7kw wall charger fitted by an electrician friend on Sunday.

I've bought LED bulb upgrade for the interior but have ordered a plastic spudger set off eBay, as I'm afraid of breaking the cover.

We're only on R30 on the entertainment which is a bit disappointing, but I haven't encountered any major issues with the software so far. We've connected both mine and my wife's phones to ismart app, Bluetooth and android Auto. My phone (pixel 7 pro in a case) is a tight fit on the charging pad when plugged in.

Looking forward to a Scotland trip over the Easter weekend!
