Speed Sign Recognition Forward vs Reverse

Got a weird one. Previous to getting my XPower I had a 5, absolutely no issue with the Speed Recognition. However since having the Xpower I was increasingly frustrated to the point I turned it of every time.

I was surfing on FB the other day and somebody said they had a problem when reversing off their drive with it. Last week I have been reversing onto my drive so that I am able to drive off forward in the morning. Lo and behold, the Speed Recognition has worked near flawlessly. I don't get it.

Anybody else with this?

Glad you posted this. If the first thing I do is reverse my MG4 Trophy, out of a parking space, etc., the Speed Recognition sometimes sticks on the limit that it last saw before I switched the car off. As an example, if I reversed out of the driveway at home, it sometimes sticks on 20mph for most of the day, either until the system reboots itself, or I reboot it by holding down the Home button for up to 20 seconds. The car will show 20mph in the driver's display and chime when I'm driving at 30mph where the limit allows, and even at 70mph on the motorway. The driver's display still shows 20mph. This does not happen every time, so it's hard to replicate the fault, but it does happen, and it's triggered by reversing as the first movement.

I also get an occasional error where the centre screen will show the forward camera view, but with no X button on the screen, so unable to clear unless rebooted.

I was hoping that the software would be updated (generally) at the first service, but MG Service advises that there will be no software update.

Hello,

my first post there, not native english speaker, so I hope to get all right.

I'm from a month a proud owner of a Luxury64 MY24, and wile the car is truly awsome on any regard, is plagued by a quite annoying bug: when you start it for the first time speed signals recognition just lock on 50km/h.
I couldn't replicate this glitch on any other situation and the only workaround (over turning ISA off) is to lock the car, waith 30ish seconds and restart it.

Now, on MY24 the intelligent speed assistant is active by default at the start, and being a mandatory safety feature by the new...

I had it from go and MG service couldn't find the problem because I guess it depends on many things when you start the car and unless you do it exactly, the software will work or not work etc.

I took it for it's first service and I asked them to really update the software. I was told that it is taking them such a long time to update everything so they had to keep it overnight. Apparently they updated all the software to do with the radar(?) and that fixed it.

TLDR: There is a solution. They need to update the software for the radar(?). There are many modules and it will take a long time (so they may not want to do it)
