Sticking drivers outer door handle

Well my drivers outer door handle has started sticking /not returning back when let cgo causing it to keep latch open
Any one else had this ?

There was a modification for it.
Mine did it and they fixed it a couple of years ago but I have caught it doing it again recently.

I think they filed a bit off a lever in the mechanism.

Agree. Or a quick blast of WD40 using the Straw attachment, to direct it.

For mine it was abrasive silicon until worn down then cleaned & WD40

You may find that the standard WD40 may dry out after a while and the handle may start to stick again.
Try this WD40 spray, this is what the dealer uses to lubricate the locks & hinges.
Pull out the handle, then direct the spray ( with the extension straw ) into the mechanism.
Used this on my sticking handle on our previous ZS EV and it worked great .

You could try using some silicone spray.

I've done this a couple of times over the last 3 years... takes a minute or so and the handle is fine for ages...

I had this with my 2021 LR.
Silicone spray grease didn't work for me so I bought a tube of silicone grease and after a few applications it has been OK for months. I used a cotton bud to work it into all the cracks and crevices with the handle pulled out.
It might need done again but is not a big deal.

It will be fine until the cold weather returns, then it will stick again for sure.
They should be lubricated as part of the annual service really, I think.
Lubricating door hinges and locking mechanisms was always on the service sheet back in the day.
Today, they favour spraying them with a white lubricant from a can.
Mine has always been done as part of the service on both of our ZS EV’s.
But they don’t bother doing the actual door handle ( as best as I can tell ).
But by pulling out the handle to its maximum, then spraying in some white spray, does stop them sticking in cold weather.
They stuck once on our previous ZS EV then I used some WD40 White lithium spray grease and they never did it again.
I just gave them a quick toot about twice a year.

I jumped on my wife's MG5 the other day and pulled away and the door pinged open. The handle had stuck out so the door wouldn't latch closed.
