The Ultimate MG5 "Real World" Energy Consumption Thread

Reasonable figures for a facelift this month. Largely motorway
Great economy, any explanation for low average speed as it doesn’t seem to match largely motorway journeys?

Now I have set a record, over 100 kms, with ZERO energy consumption. I actually reached 101.5 kms.

I challenge anyone to beat my latest record achievement.

I started this trip at 71%, it peaked at 80% before eventually dropping to 71%.

Have you ever done the route in an ICE vehicle? I imagine the power must drop off significantly at that altitude.

Plenty of broken down, stalled and overheated cars. Even motorcycles found keeping up with me from hairpins hard, even with my fully loaded car. ?

My father did it in the 1960s and his car boiled over and needed pushing on hairpins near the top.

You need to have oxygen to fly an unpressurised aircraft at that height.

This month includes 900miles with a roof box to Devon and back. August last year was long French trip on autoroutes.

This month includes fast 70mph journeys in the UK and about 1200 miles in France, most of which was conducted at 81mph so quite happy with the overall figure. Was sitting at 4.6 mi/kWh before France.

That’s crazy efficient for those speeds!
