Trip computer resets?

This week after charging the trip computer was reset. I saw a reset before but that was after the car was in service.
I'm 100% sure I did not reset it manually. Any idea what is going on?

I checked the manual (p 32 onwards) but there is no mentioning of that.

The timer only goes up to 100 hours so it resets.

Yes. I suppose there's not a lot of point in having an ever-incrementing average that includes driving you did years ago. If you're doing a long trip with multiple charging stops it's handy to reset it when you drive off so you can have an average for the whole trip.

As said above, the accumulated total resets when the time counter exceeds 99 hours, 59 minutes as the display can't show any elapsed time greater than that.

Reset of what ? Total, since last charge or since start? The latter resets everytime a trip ends.

Mine was reset on the 12 month service and again this week on the 24 month service. I never reset it myself. A bit annoying really as it's now not reflecting my drving patterns and style, which give a higher GOM estimate than the factory settings. Yes I know to just use current journey efficiency for range estimates for long journeys. I work on the basis of 70 kWh at 100% charge x current battery % x current efficiency, then knock a tad off as its only 68kWh usable. But the GOM is a useful quick ball park (with no mental arithmetic) once it's acclimatised to your drving patterns/ styles.

It resets the accumulated data every 100 hours. The others reset when you charge or when you start a trip . Or you can reset at any time manually.

Trip milages always resets. Maybe in the beginning you saw the trip stats, but now you see the stats of the totals?

Do you know how to swap between the 3 trip displays (up/down button after you have scrolled left or right to the trip page) ?

A quick read of that part of the manual and other threads here may be useful.

It seems to reset when software updates are applied.

I've noticed this reset of the 'accumulated total' but also that since start sometimes is the start of a long trip regardless of a charge mid trip and other times resets when we stop and charge. Not yet worked out when it will do the one and when the other! Never mind, we lived without such interesting info when I learned to drive in a Fiat 128!

I'm realising I have to take note of the range showing before I reset the accumulated total before starting a trip. Otherwise all I see at the start is the factory estimate which is likely to be wildly over-optimistic.

Oh no it doesn't, it depends on how long you leave it before starting again ? not sure if this is covered in a setting or the position of the sun and moon?

It clearly means something defines 'end of trip'...

It will be some kind of time limit to allow for charging stops .
