I've had my HS Phev for a couple of weeks now, and generally am very satisfied. I have a small minor problem:

When playing my MP3 collection from a USB stick, tracks will sometimes 'skip'. This can be quite random in its effect. Sometimes it will be after just a few seconds of a track, at others it may be midway or even near the end of a song. There is often a second or two of silence before the next track starts.

Has anyone else experienced this, or is it just me? Any ideas?

I usually run on Random Shuffle as I have quite diverse musical tastes, not satisfied by Spotify et al. :)

Units are sometimes fussy about what USB stick is used and even where it is formatted.
Try a different stick.

As I'm sure you're aware, mp3 files have all sorts of attributes so I wonder if that's the problem, could be a bitrate issue, metadata issue and so on that the unit in the car doesn't support. A bit of testing might reveal the problem.

I can also highly recommend SomaFM - ad free internet radio station which is free and caters for many tastes! I listen all the time ;-)
