Thanks, yeah I've spent more time than is healthy reading up and this and think I've covered it all! Did you ever take the input current on the Multiplus above 10A? My Quattro is the 10000 version and it seems that it will only accept a minimum input current of 10.5A.

Also did you put another earth rod connection between the car and your multi? I guess if you have no grid connection your multi is earthed and combines N & E.
