What's your tipple of choice tonight?
Tea, coffee, beer, wine or the hard stuff?
Personally, I'm partial to a drop of Irish whiskey

A can of cheap Lidl 8% beer which is OK , but we have some chopped up liquorice root , add a tea spoon full with a lump of brown sugar and just cover with boiling water . Leave to cool , strain and add to said beer . Ruddy wonderful.

Quite partial too, Bailey's, White Zinfandel,
John Smith's Extra Smooth and the odd Guinness. Not all at once, obviously.

Coffee for me please. Fresh ground beans meeting almost boiled water in a warmed stainless steel cafetière. Enjoyed in a fine chia mug black - no milk, cream or sugar.

And definitely NO added alcohol of any kind - I think coffee with rum or whiskey or anything like that is absolutely disgusting - no thanks !!

I constantly run out of milk for coffee & always at the most inconvenient times.
So, whenever supermarkets have 1ltr bottles of Bailey's on offer for £10-£12.
I always stock up!

It's far too, tempting and would be rude, not too.

A cider drinking mate did me a favour a few years back. So I got him a 6 pack of that.
But the ungrateful git said he didn't like that brand.
So I replaced it with Guinness & kept the Henry Weston's.
Approximately 12 months later on a very hot day. I decided to try it, & I was very impressed!
Unlike a super strength lager at over 8% it doesn't taste like cough medicine

At 72 cents a can , I can't afford more than one. and without the additives is quite bland.

If you want a complex flavour without needing to add the additives?
Try an IPA by Brew Dog called "Elvis Juice"
It's a daft name but it's very tasty, especially if you like grapefruit?
And it's 6.5%.

Any crafty style beers here are pretty pricey for a small bottle , and not in keeping with the MG philosophy of cheap and cheerful , but with a chance of going blind .

Red wine right now. Shiraz which isn't my usual so must have been on Aldi super deal.

We've had pasta so I like a red with that.

Usually have a decaf tea between 9.30 and 10.30.
