I did post on another thread about a similar subject, but it'd be worth reiterating the sentiments on this too.
The MG 4 replaced a 2012 Ford C Max 1.6 Diesel. That was a good car. It fulfilled the requirements from the Vauxhall Meriva we had before that. It was economical, 50 plus MPG, had a 6 speed gearbox and fell in the £30 road tax band. All good then?....... By 2022 Diesel was starting to be frowned on as dirty, and with the emissions rules changing for central London ULEZ in 2023 it seemed time to look elsewhere.
I took a fresh approach, and seeing all the advantages and advances in EV's I started taking a look at the EV market. Then the TV adverts started popping up for the MG 4. I had a look, then a test drive, then another, and then went back with my wife to see what she thought too.
We got ours March 23, before the rush of EV sales that were soon to be happening!. Then the government started moving the targets, so for a time it looked as though the whole thing was coming off the rails.
I haven't regretted the decision at all, I'm enjoying EV motoring, and guess what I'll next be going too... haven't decided but it will definitely be an EV.
