Is this arctic white?
Looks pearlescent to me, but I don’t think it’s standard. Maybe a wrap?
Seen today on a 23 reg trophy.

In my personal opinion, the car doesn't appear as appealing in black unless it's meticulously maintained, clean, and shining. The black color doesn't highlight the car's usual impressive accents, making it look somewhat lackluster. Personally, I prefer colors like white, orange, red, and to a slightly lesser extent, grey. Of course, preferences in cars vary, so your mileage may vary. ;)
I have noticed over the decades that a lot of cars look much more appealing in one particular colour than any other.

Personally, I like the look of my red 4, especially when the sun is shining.

X Power Choices......

If you want to 'Stick Out' like a sore thumb,
Get the Racing Green.

Being the flagship colour and the car that was taken to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, anybody out on the road who knows anything about Performance Cars, will bow down and doff their cap at your Superior Performance.

Unless of course, they have Superior Performance, which to be honest, will be extremely rare, where they may then just look down upon you in your tragic, slow, Chinese offering.

In the six months I've owned my car I've yet to come across anybody with more power in my local area.

I did see an Audi RS6 Performance yesterday, on the M5 South with 621BHP, 0to60 in about 3 seconds and £112,000 if you're interested.

I digress.

If you want to stick out like a sore thumb with a massive Neon Sign on top of that Shouting "Look at ME! Look at ME!

Then that will be your Beautiful Volcano Orange.
Such a pretty paint to see in the flesh that really 'Pops' in the daylight.

Also that colour picks out the matching caliper covers and looks the absolute dogs danglies IMO.

Next up is the Beautiful Camden Grey.
Another paint colour that defies the 'budget' nature of this car.
Deep, lustrous and pretty, with all the metallic flecks being picked out by the light.

This is the colour I would have chosen if I had wanted to fly under the radar.
Blacking out your caliper covers ala @JonnyG will definitely see to that.

The Dynamic Red apes everything I've said up above.
It is a Beautiful colour, but if it was mine the Caliper Covers would have to be either blacked out, painted body, or painted Red.

Now onto the solid colours.

White really suits the X Power IMO and does look striking.
White cars still thrust me back into the mid 80's when I used to drool over my slightly older friends Ford Escort RS Turbo.

I still occasionally wake up now in my bed screaming "YOU LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY BASTARD"

The fact that our X Powers can simply annihilate the 0 to 60 time of that car gives me enough comfort to drift off back to sleep.
Oh and you wouldn't want to crash one either.

Black.
No.
Just NO.
Honestly, not mucking about.
Only a Sadist or anybody who has never had a Black Car, would buy a Black Car.

Fabulous Clean? Abso bloody lutely.
But not for very long and will show up everything.
Spending out on a ceramic coat will definitely help.
But still a NO from me.
I'm oot.

That I believe leaves us with the Beautiful Taliban Blue.

Yes I do know what it is called, I'm just hoping my Scottish friend has managed to read down this far and has a giggle.

Holborn Blue holds a special place in my heart because it was the very first MG4 I saw out on the UK roads in the flesh.

It to is a Beautiful Colour and also very striking out on the road.
The lady that owned it was happy to have a chat and that's the car that first pointed me towards the MG brand.

Not sure the caliper covers work against the blue either, but that, just as all the other words up above, are just my opinion.

Whichever colour you settle upon, you will not be disappointed.
(In the paint at least 🤣)

SAIC have obviously made cost savings with the MG cars, but not at the factory where they are painted thankfully.

My gripe with paint is that the undercoat is invariably light coloured.

Why?

I know it means using different coloured undercoats, but how much better would a car look when scratched or chipped with a similar colour undercoat?

Our outgoing Honda FRV in black had white undercoat. It looked awful after a few stone chips and scratches.

We would not have chosen it, but it was the last one available.

There is one stone chip on the front of our MG and that is also revealing a light coloured undercoat underneath.

I went with Orange, but I really wish I'd gone for blue. It's gorgeous. The orange was a 1 week wait and the blue was 12 weeks and my impatience won...

I was really taken by the blue and people are always admiring the colour. I was prepared to wait for an order to go through to get the colour, but it turned out the dealer had exactly the car I wanted waiting to be prepped for sale. (And he sold an identical car to @alix only two weeks previously as it happens.) He did try his best to talk me into a Trophy or an LR (or even to wait for the X-Power when I mentioned it in slightly wistful tones) but finally he gave in and sold me what I wanted.

This is Caliban on his first morning in his new home. Still turning heads seven months later.

The blue looks quite different in different lights - to the point where people speculated there was more than one blue. But there is only one.

I thought they were all gloss, except the matte green, and the metallic grey.
Solid Colours are Gloss White and Holborn Blue.
Racing Green is Matte.
Metallic on Volcano Orange, Dynamic Red, Black Pearl and Camden Grey.

Extra Gloss Top Coat on the Orange and Grey.

It was the orange that caught my eye first but the blue would have been my choice.

But my wife stepped in & said the Camden Grey was for us 😂

I do like the Camden Grey though especially when it’s washed & waxed

I still love the red having had the car for around 17months and travelled over 22000 miles . It shines up beautifully. However, I have picked up quite a number of stone chips . I think its quite an easy paint to chip ( too soft/too hard? I don't know!) . If I change to another 4 I think I'll go for white next time .

I really couldnt decide at first i liked the blue the silver and the orange for the orange caliper covers
( cough cough )
ended up with Camden Grey because thats what the colour of the ex demo is will prob remove the covers and powder coat the wheels all black at some point !!
