What Colour

Hello I am going to order a long range this week, I am thinking Black or the tri red - is the red worth th extra money - i think this is free under the affinaty scheme ?

I thought mg had stopped taking orders? Paint choice is free with affinity scheme though, yes.

If not using the Affinity scheme I think I would be tempted to go for black. My reasoning being that as the red is slightly more expensive but included at no extra cost on Affinity then lots of Affinity drivers would go for red as maximising the value.

But come resale time the black would be rarer and therefore possibly more desirable.

But ultimately just go with the colour you like best.... You want to walk out to your car and think "I'm glad I chose ________, looks really good"

I ordered a silver one, on affinity scheme. The problem with the long wait for build and delivery is I've changed my mind several times now about which colour I should have gone with!

In all seriousness though, unless there is a colour you specifically hate, choose whichever will arrive soonest. Or get a white and vinyl wrap it something funky ?

MG has stopped orders for new MG5’s…you must have found a dealer with available stock…hens teeth springs to mind. I think red or white.

I wasn't that fussy over colour but I ended up with a red one (on Affinity) and it looks very smart. Black was probably my least favoured option.

I took delivery of my MG5 LR on the 22nd March - through Motability. Having already had red, grey, black and white cars I opted for a "blue" without actually seeing one at all!! It turned out to be a "sparkly" lightish blue which everyone comments on and I really enjoy going out to my car every day.

Black shows up the merest mark or mud splash. Red is supposed to be the 'safest' colour for reducing your likelihood of an accident I read somewhere ?

I used to have a black estate car about 20 years ago, old blokes used to take their hats off and bow their heads as I drove past.

I see you are from Mold in North Wales ?.
If correct, have you spotted the black MG5 taxi being used in the area !.
Who have you ordered from, have they located a car in stock as new orders have been suspended I believe ?.
A long range model ????.

No Not seen the Taxi in Mold lol - gallaghers had a black one in the showroom, I have ordered one from Holdcroft E port they had some already on order they are going fast - i dont need the car until October but they also said they have a red one available now in Warrington ! yes the longrange model exclusive, I will also go with the service plan over 3 years just over £12 a month

Sweet! Did you get it on affinity? Is that about £27k now?

Yes on the Affinity £27880 - Bargain, I currently drive a Hyundai Ionic ev, it has all the extras i am sure to miss some of them but its going back in October as its on lease and they have put up the prices now so gone with the MG

Judging by reports here, the £12 a month service plan works out a bit pricey for the first year, if you are low mileage (which I think was under 10k). I was going to take out the MG one but they stopped it - presume yours is with the garage.
