Which EV, new or used, would you change your MG for?

I think BYD is this year's rental car of choice, I keep passing them, mostly silver grey on the roads.

If I can't get a good deal on the new upcoming MG S5 EV when the time comes, I wouldn't mind the new BYD Atto 3, I got talking to the guy who parked next to me in one at Aldi & had a sit in it. I quite like it.
I'm still not sure about the quirky interior.

How do you feel about it?

When I looked and test drove one I wasn't a fan of the interior, although my missus was OK with it and still wants a Dolphin. Perhaps I'm too much of a traditionalist, I even want a car with a drivers cluster so that rules out another brand too.

Please remind me what your current car is.

I haven't met anybody who has driven one yet so I'm very interested as to your impressions.

I have a 2022 kona. Very happy with it. Regards the Atto, not sure how to describe it other than it's an SUV. Feels like one, drives like one, has the usual EV technology etc etc. nothing bad, nothing exceptional, nothing really worthy of conversation other than the debate about the interior.

Just ordered the new Dacia Bigster for the misses (the one on the right) 😂 took it on a two year deal just in case but on the test drive (hybrid 155) it performs like a dream and on pcp it was £200.00 pm should be here in a month so looking forward to it.
We had a Peugeot 307sw which unknown to us was classed as a 7 seater and consequently loaded up the insurance premiums. I think the Bigster is also classed as such and might do the same , something to look into.

The Bigster is huge but isn't offered as a 7 seater.

The Jogger is much smaller, but is a 7 seater.

The 307sw has a 7 seater option, but as standard comes as a 5 seater.

They don't represent good value for money, purely on specs versus price I think.

I'm thinking of possibly part exchanging my MG4 Trophy for a different EV as I'm getting fed up of MG's lack of urgency in sorting out the charging problem I've had since February and it's going in again next week.

I haven't found anything that jumps out as the ideal alternative so I thought I'd ask for the groups opinions. It needs to either be a hatchback or SUV.
Kia EV4 or Kia EV3

I feel you, I've had 2 MG5s in 4 years and it's a great car to drive but it's so low that getting in and out is becoming painfull. With this in mind one of my first checks on any car that interests me is the height of it, I also prefer a more upright driving position.
I've not test driven anything yet as it's not going to happen till next year, retirement looming and a need for a car that will last and do everything else I want it do.

Getting in & out of a car has topped the list for our vehicle requirements. One of the joys of getting old, I suppose:rolleyes:
An SUV/crossover are the only vehicles that fit the bill, so I'll be having a look at the new MG SE EV & BYD Atto 3 when the time comes. We've had two MG ZS's, a Gen 1 Excite & Gen 2 Trophy SR, so we might have a change next time around. I still like the BYD Atto 3 interior.

Oh, I'm waiting for the next thrilling installment of old age with bated breath....

I'm getting the beginnings of arthritis in my right thumb which is very uncomfortable.

But I look forward to going swimming with my Ma, bless her, and getting picked up in her Yeti. A decent height off the tarmac, plus the seat belt socket is easier to reach than the MG. A small point, but they all add up.

Archev, Berlingo, is on our list possibly, if Mrs S can be persuaded in a year's time to go for electric again.

What do you like about it?
