Why is my MG EV ZS is not charging to 100%?

I set my Ohme charger on MAX charge to charge on the Ohme app.

I set scheduled charging on my MG iSMART app for 12am to 5am.

Usually it charges to 100% but just recently it has only been charging to about 80%.

It’s a 2023 model.

Is the battery failing?

The car had 48% charge left before charging and it has a 51kWHr battery and I have an Ohme charger delivering at 7.4kW.

So it should it should only take about (100-48)/100 x 51 / 7.4 =3.584 hours to charge to 100%.

Theoretically the time you worked out will work, but there are losses to take into account.
It always takes more time to charge than you calculate. There are coversion losses in the charger and battery so it could be that you just need to charge for longer.
Also the batteries need to be charged to 100% and left on charge for a long time after that every now and then to equalise them.

Mine will take in excess of 24 hours using the standard (granny) charger starting at around 10% to 80%

Just checking because one contributor had this happen to them a while ago. Are you sure you haven't set an 80% charging limit in iSmart or in the Infotainment charging screen? They had inadvertently set a limit and were unaware of it.

why do you need to set MG iSMART app for 12am to 5am, can't you set the time on your charger? What is your ZS, long range or standard?

They've got a 51kWh battery, so that's going to be without the option to set the charge limit.
