Why no Trophy SR ?

I wonder why MG didn't have the option of a SR battery on the MG4 Trophy ?
I'm sure there are many people who only do short local trips for the majority of their driving, but would like the extra options that the Trophy offers.

There is one - in Thailand. Why they've opted not to make that available globally only SAIC/MG can answer.

It's actually available in the EU now, you can pick between low and high trim with both the 49 and 64kWh battery. The OBC power stays linked to the battery chemistry though, so LFP gets a single phase charger instead of the three-phase for NMC.

Low trim level (standard) has an optional winter pack for heated seats and steering wheel
