Just wanted to ask you: How happy are you with your spray nozzles? Mine work okay till 100 km/h (60 mph), but after that they only really hit the lower third of the windscreen. I know some owners who have had this issue - so has anyone else had this issue and has a fix, like a recommended setting or replacement? Some MG4s seem to do worse than others so maybe SAIC made a change at some point in the production.

I’ve tried adjusting, you can use a thin flat head screwdriver, there is a little slot across the spray mouth so to speak.

I find that it either hits the windscreen low, or the spray gets lifted over the car. I wonder if they’ve designed the airflow for efficiency in such a way it tends to lift the spray away from the window, and that’s why it’s aimed to hit low. I think you have to choose between hitting low while driving, or hitting in the middle while stationary.

A chap on facebook replaced his with twin jet nozzle ones (from Temu IIRC), a 15 minute job.
I have the nozzles but not done it myself yet, waiting for some better weather.
This was his instructions:
Washer jet replacement MG4
The old units are held in with clips. Use a metal trim removal tool from the front of the jet (windscreen side). It is easier to hold the tool and come at it from the windscreen coming under the raised bonnet. Just pry it up and it pops out with a click, sounds like the clips have broken but they haven't. Then from the rear of the washer jet pry the other side up and out.
It’s likely the hose will pop off when you pull the washer jets up but don't worry too much.
Undo all the Philips head push pins on the scuttle panel and remove the fixings, there are 9 in total. Also remove the side trim from the wing to the windscreen, this unclips from the end closest to the screen first.
With all that undone you can lift the scuttle tray up enough to reach the underside and get hold of the hose, if you feel around, you can release some of the clips holding the hose tight to give you more play. Feed the hose through the new plastic bolt from the replacement jet and then push the hose through the opening of the scuttle tray. Connect the new jet to the hose and push it into the hole you pushed the hose through. Then tighten the nut onto the thread of the new jet.
Refit the trim you removed, replace the push pins and you are good to go.
These new jets are adjustable so you can pretty much have the spray wherever you want.
I used the cheaper ones, they have 2 streams each jet, one high and one low. The oem ones are more of a spray pattern.
Took about 15mins all in.

Is the fluid supposed to come out and hit the screen as a fine mist, rather than a single jet?
Mine comes out as a mist, seems to work fine but never really tried it at high speeds, figured any spray would be less effective as wind would blow the fluid away quicker. Best operated stationary at a set of traffic lights

Always hated the washer nozzles on mine. Whilst the idea of producing a mist pattern seems great, in practice there’s no one position that works across the whole speed range. Because the mist is more susceptible to changes in speed, if you optimise them for motorway speeds then they’re too high for low speeds/stationary and vice versa. Passenger side’s now decided over last week to pretend it’s a twin nozzle with half too low and half directed at the roof, so something else to look at when the weather improves - may well consider a conversion kit

I got lucky. I adjusted them the previous weekend. Though I cannot explain how or why, stationary they are now just below the middle an during driving just at the middle (passenger side is a bit lower). Now I just hope it stays this way. Otherwise I may opt for a conversion kit as well. With all the salt sprayed on the windscreen I really need them during driving.

The windshield washer nozzles have been bothering me ever since I got the car (2022).

Originally, they were positioned like this: "--", which only produced a small puddle of water at the bottom of the windshield.

Currently, they're positioned like this: "\/". Perfect when stationary, acceptable up to about 100 km/h, but not ideal.

I'd be grateful for any advice.
