If your phone supports wireless charging - just put it on the pad just above the gear selector, and it should start charging? (with a small notification ding pop up to say it is charging)

There may be a menu option to turn this on/off, but it should be on by default.

If struggling, is the phone in a thick case, as that may block the charge... it's not overly strong from my experience.

Well, there is some quest for positioning the phone over the pad. The center points of coils in the Charger and the Phone have to match.

May be you'll need some "bumper" to hold the phone in its correct position:

I've had wireless charging in two cars I've owned now and never had a phone that has it. :(
