Have MG just dumped a load of new XPowers on dealers, there seem to be a few brand new or low milage ex demos selling for around £25k. So would you go for a 1-2 year old XPower for just under £20k or spend the extra on a brand new one?

Awesome for residuals for me and i would go new TBH.
I think we will be getting the new ugly version MG4 soon so clearing stock probably.

Think the "ugly" version as you call it.
Which is actually growing on me a bit.
Nice if an X Power version came with the Cyberster GT 500 bhp, motors.
Perhaps a bit like this.

Think I'd be tempted. Well we can dream.
🙂👍

Personally I would go with a low mileage pre-reg car - at least then a buyer would have the opportunity to test drive it and see if they have a 'good' one (ie no vibes).

Going for new, if you get one with bad vibrations, then you've either got a legal battle to reject or have to live with it, know MG UK won't authorise any fix.

Got a bit of the GR Yaris vibes about it, now there is a cracking handling car.
