XPower bargains UK November 2025

Welp, Satander have insisted they're not going to VT so I guess I'll be parking my 5 up until March & handing it back with the excess mileage then! They're insisting it's a "fixed term loan agreement, not a PCP" despite their being a GFV stated in the agreement. Oh well.

You must have one of these then:
  • Lease Purchase (HP with balloon)
  • A motor loan with a buy back at the end
  • HP with Guaranteed Residual Support
All of these are super, super rare. I'd be getting clarification on exactly what the product is you have.

I've requested a complaint call back so will find out in due course. I suspect it's the middle one as they said they hold no interest in the car and I can sell it at any point.

If you wanted PCP and they've sold you another product that's a very serious thing and they've badly cocked up.

It would be time to lawyer up.

Although it's not strictly their cockup, it would be the dealer, who is now out of business.....

Sure, but who's going to take responsibility?! The dealer isn't there any more. The finance company will just point to the paperwork and say it's what the type of loan it is and I should have been told (I wasn't, but can't prove that.)

Hello everybody!

I collected my brand new Racing Green XPOWER from Perry’s MG Preston today.

My decent-ish car history is as follows:
2001 Citroen Saxo VTR
2006 Ford Focus ST3
2012 Volvo C30 T5
2016 BMW M135i
2016 BMW M235i
2019 BMW X3 M40d
2019 Range Rover Evoque First Edition
2022 Jaguar I-Pace HSE Black
2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB 300
2025 MG4 XPOWER

I’d never even clapped eyes on one let alone driven one before I picked it up today, but my first impressions are that it’s a hell of a car for the money.

Took the plunge, without even seeing one,
let alone driving one. Good on ya.
Enjoy your new X Power, I'm sure you will.
🙂👍

And.

To the forum. 🙂👍

It will be interesting to hear what you think about the quality of MG/Chinese vehicles with your history of migration through what looks like an incremental "perceived-quality-of-marque" ladder.

Having gone from Citroen to Ford to BMW to RR to Jag to Merc it looks like a bit of a full circle going to an MG now; though I guess you weren't happy with the 1-series, X3 or iPace, keeping them for less than a year each.

Half mine/half my wife’s (although always my choice!) and we still have the EQB which is a company car.

Was happy with every car to be honest, I-Pace probably being the best (and also most expensive at 80k list price new!) - they’re a very good second hand buy nowadays and I very nearly went for another.

I’m suitably impressed with the MG so far, though. I don’t think there’s anything remotely close to it in the 25k new bracket.

Glad your enjoying your X Power, so far.
And you are right, there isn't anything remotely close, for 25k. And to be honest, there isn't anything, likely to be, for a while, if ever. 🙂👍

Taycan's are already getting close to 30K ;)

Can't argue with that. And S'pose you can say you've got a Porchse. If that floats ya boat. But how old are they. What milage are they. How have they been treated. Numerous owners. etc etc.
I'm taking about brand spanking new. 🙂👍
