XPower bargains UK November 2025

Awesome car i am sure but if i could justify spending that much on one i still would not as i do not like the look of it personally, where as i think the x power is spot on.

Did they give a reason for selling it so quickly
Bought it for a xmas present for his wife, but she just didn't like or get on with it.
Apart from a bit of surface rust on the brake discs from it standing unused for 6 weeks it's absolutely as new.

Hi Everyone.. I bought this grey car from Grimsby a couple of weeks ago.. drove it back 200miles to Marlborough.. Faultless! Really happy so far.

To the forum. WOW! Bargain! Enjoy your new X Power. Pretty sure you will. 🙂👍

It is a surprise for sure, plenty of notice too🫣.

Need to find out if they can still do servicing of MG or are they totally dropping the connection or is it just not selling new model,
With MG sales apparently going up and being a busy area I thought business would be booming.

Best question to ask is whether they can still undertake warranty work. If they can, they must still have formal MG support
When the franchise was dropped at my local dealer they said that they could still do servicing but not warranty work. Translated, that means their "servicing" is not recognised by MG and will not be added to the official online service record.

An email from my local dealer who is brilliant that I did not expect.🫣View attachment 46166
Same message received here. For context, we purchased our X-Power outright from them in March 2024.

Sadly over the time we've had the car, it has been back to Hendy Poole many, many times (mainly for warranty issues, twice for servicing). They have an excellent master tech who kindly took pity on me early on and gave me his direct contact details - this proved much appreciated as I could get the low down on what was happening with things like the now infamous vibration issue, what updates had come through for modules etc.

The bottom line is they were badly let down by the support the received from MG UK both on major problems (vibrations) and minor stuff (like MG UK withdrawing funding to do any software or BCM updates at PDI, other than mandatory stuff - their attitude was to wait until the customer compalins ). Was also told the MG UK were a nightmare at authorising & paying warranty claims.

So it's not a big surprise to me that they've ditched the franchise, with the showroom looking more & more empty over recent visits.

They confirmed verbally that they won't be continuing with warranty work so looks like time to find a new garage for any future warranty issues and for servicing. It's a shame as the guys at the coal face there were decent and certainly had some sympathy with the customer.
