MG4 - First UK dealer hands on photos and specifications

£99 for mats is insane! I’m thinking £15 on Amazon instead!
I was thinking that!

I was going to get MG ones from dealer, as i am worried that getting any after market ones for such a new model of car would have been problematic when it comes to fitting them.

That was when I thought they would be about £65.00.

Not sure I will pay £100 for mats which by all accounts, last about 10K miles (a year for me).

I suspect it's the classic "buy something very expensive and you're much more likely to buy an accessory that's clearly overpriced" sales technique.

Like a £1000 suit, "would you like this £100 tie as well?" :).

I'd be interested to hear what deal you do get if you go for them, free or cheaper than £99 - I kinda got the impression when I said no to the £255 mats and cable offer from them that when I said mats they just made up the £99 figure :)

Ha !

WIll report back (and hopefully soon :) ).

Edit: Miles should hoy a mat mail order system on the merchant page on here! At around £50 - £60 he would clean up! :)

That is my concern.

But a hundred quid man!!!! Yikes!
did I not mention that they are hand made from the hair of a unicorn? :) I've been a Ford owner for 45 years, and the mats in those last me up to 30k miles, so I'm hoping that these will be just as durable - if not then I've learned an expensive lesson

To be fair, I am only going from memebers on here whom have bought/acquired ZS and HSPHEV Mats and the just seems to be, they are of inferior quality and do not last very long.

My Nissan Leaf mats cost £23, not via Nissan though. They are supposedly "genuine", but I don't really care if they are knock-off as long as they look the part and are durable. Yes to both (4 years of use so far).

Exactly, thinking of picking some generic mats from eBay to start with and then get some fitted aftermarket ones.
Will also ask one of my friend who owns tesla to order the Type 2 cable.

Do we still get a bouquet of flowers and a bottle during handover, or maybe an umbrella?
I seem to recall a dealer giving my wife a bouquet of flowers about 30 years ago, but absolutely nothing since...my wife would say I've changed my car around 30 times since then, but she exaggerates :) it was probably more like 20 :) soo I'm not expecting anything this time around.

I asked for an accessories brochure when I ordered, there wasn't one. Has this changed? Ideally I'm after rubber/winter mats and a boot floor protector. For anything else I generally buy third party.

I wonder if the £99 is the fitted price for the mats?

I remember a Toyota dealer wanting to charge me a ridiculous price for a pollen filter as it included "fitting".

I went to the parts department, purchased the filter and fitted myself in front of them!
