So, I picked up my car, some 250 miles away from my home town on Friday. Sunday morning there appeared to be a trail of oil all over the block weave as I drove away. Worse than this, it's a shared block weave drive! I have to look again tomorrow, as I am not 100% certain if it was oil or water, as I was in a real rush. If it is oil, it will have to go back to a dealer 20 miles away to be fixed.
I have been reading about rejecting a car, the law and this topic is helpful, but it is not what I want to do. If the car isn't fixed after one attempt, though that's what I will do. I shall email the dealer who sold the car of that intention once I confirm if there is a leak and I shall cc MG head office onto the email.
What bothers me is that the dealers are aware of this and they are aware of the fix, so why aren't they dealing with it?
They need to pay for cleaning the block weave if it is oil, because they have been negligent!
I really like the car though!
