MG4 vs approved Tesla M3

I've never said that at any time I actually said I have owned and continue to own Chinese products. I did however say the evidence presented during the enquiry was an eye opener and food for thought.

They were even accused of aiding in identity theft by selling info off on the dark web. There was no evidence to actually back that up but as I said it is thought provoking.

If and it's a huge if, and I hope it never happens but if anything escalated with Taiwan it would be very worrying strange times.

It's a very realistic threat I'm afraid. Sadly. There's a good reason why BMW is building the new New Mini largely in Oxford and not in China. It's a fragile world right now.

I had both a work and personal phone before I retired too.
More of a rule than the exception in my experience.

Absolutely not the rule in Aberdeen, where being on call is simply part of energy life.
How odd that it’s “the rule” down there.

I think it all boils down to personal preferences and circumstances. I have three. I have lots of family abroad in a country that I don't get minutes included for on my plan and to use that or a work mobile is a no. The former because of the huge costs and the latter, its simply unprofessional in my view to execute personal leisure/social calls at my employers expense. It is a pay as go backed up with a £5 plan with the minutes I need for calling abroad.
Second one is my everyday phone with a 30 day sim only plan and of course a work mobile that stays permanently in my work bag except when I'm at work and it's on my desk or person.

If you need two numbers dual sim works great. I don’t support using anything on a work phone that is not work essential - just my view.
It may have been mentioned but some Teslas are built in China now.

It's not the built in China thing, and it really doesn't bother me all that much, it's was just interesting to learn of the laws re Chinese registered companies and access to their servers and data.
Like I say the congressional enquiry was interesting, the Americans did have a bit of a hard neck taking the moral high ground

Can we please:
  • get back on topic.
  • avoid political discussion as the owner of the forum has previously said this is not permitted.

It's not political discussion as such, I merely stated that after what came out last week it may be something else that people consider when ordering an mg4.
So in that sense it's entirely relevant

Are you responsible for the Paris riots?

Isn’t suggesting that it’s off topic and to avoid political discussion off topic? 🤪

I am not entering into political discussion, your question has no relevance to this thread. Please get back on topic
