MG ZS EV Facelift - Have you ordered?

I ordered a red trophy connect on the first day. No idea when I will get it. waiting on a test drive now. Saw that the other showroom of the dealer got 3 and put a 5 minute video of each on youtube yesterday, so will be chasing them up tomorrow.
Just had a test drive what an improvement with the suspension in my opinion.

Had our test drive today. Paid deposit and ordered a trophy in silver from Burnley MG.
@Paula we also have our car on order from Burley !.
Battersea Blue Trophy, for March plate registration.
How did you find the car ?.
Does it feel the same to drive as the Gen1 ZS EV ?.
How different does it feel ( if any ) to drive ?.
Ride / Performance / Cabin noise level etc ?.
I understand it feel similar, because it is !.
But do you feel it has generally a more refined / improved car now ?.
Or just the same car feel underneath, with extra "Nice to have bits and Pieces ?".
Thanks !.

Straight away I noticed how much firmer the suspension was. Ticks all the boxes for me its how the car it should have been. No noticeable creaking like I get in my current MG ZS. Get down and have a test drive. I called them yesterday and booked one for today.

They have a Blue one in the showroom and Silver demo

Hi all, new on here. After a bit of research I've plumped for the Trophy after comparing with KIA and Hyundai offerings.
I'm totally new to the EV cars and decided my C3 is coming to end of its shelf life after over 183,000 miles!!
Got a very good price from the local dealership after quoting what I had been offered after I chased up an advert on auto trader.
Got a Trophy one in blue ordered, only able to test drive the older one as the long range had only arrived yesterday.
Slightly surprised it doesn't come with a type 2 cable, but fair play to the salesman he suggested I could get one myself far cheaper than the branded mg one from them.

Glad you enjoyed your test ride, how long where you given, can I ask ?.
I have read other reviews that states that the suspension definitely feels "different / better" in some way, but they can not expand on how / why they make that judgement.
But generally, it is seen as doubtful, that the springs and shocks have been upgraded in someway.
There is a common view that because the car is carrying more weight ( HV pack ) then the suspension just makes the car sit lower and therefore feels more settled somehow ?.
I do have to support this theory, because when you see the Gen1 and the Gen2 models side by side, the Gen2 model does display a noticeable lower stance.
The space between the top of the tyre and the underside of the wheel arch is smaller on the Gen2 model.
I know that the tyre wall profile size has increased slightly, to "pickup" improved ground clearance.
This increase in tyre profile should improve the ride quality as well, but is this as a direct result of the extra weight I wonder ???.
I do have to agree, that on paper the Gen2 model does tick the boxes of about 95% of the items on the early adopters wish list.
The comfort 2 update on the Gen1 model, did offer a lot to address all the unnecessary "Bongs" to be fare.
Regarding the lack of rear interior lighting in BOTH models, I did see this as a really easy target for MG to gain a quick tick in box for this complaint to get sorted on the refresh model.
After all, the ZS EV is a five seater family car and now with the extra range, is even more attractable to a family with small children.
Loading children into the back, without the help of any interior lighting must be a real pain in bum.
An easy fix that slipped through the net ???.
What should have been a simple "Gravy" job, became victim to a simple school boy error !.

Test drove the new ZS EV yesterday, much better on every level than the current one and that is saying something as I love our current ZS EV.

Was told by the dealer that worst case scenario for delivery is early March.

Oh yes, I did order a silver trophy about 4 weeks ago as soon as the dealer was able to confirm the prices.

Maybe a life lesson in there somewhere, always wait for version 2 for anything!

Could there be an addition to the forum profiles to show what we have ordered as well as driving?

Went into the Bletchley dealer today, whilst I’m not ordering now I was told end of March.

Apparently they can’t get them fast enough, they’ve got two demonstrators & that it.
Yeah - Sounds about right !.
MG have around 150 dealers in the U.K. at present.
If they had two Demo’s each then them 300 cars, plus the others models where going to take a bit of space on the first ship load.
ZS EV face lift models ordered now are more than likely to be either already built, or soon will be !.
It takes about 12 weeks for a ship to get from China to the U.K. ( making a few stops along the way ).
To have these cars available for the beginning of March 2022 - they have to be built already in my opinion ?.

I would guess so, three month shipping sounds about right.

I don’t know what the sales figures are for either the UK or worldwide- either it is a production problem or just a shipping one

Hi all.

How many of you here have actually ordered the new long range model?
If you have, how was your order process, and what delivery date estimate have you been given? (if any!)

Thanks.
I have ordered mine from Chorley @ Burnley, Trophy in Blue. Don't know when I am going to receive it which is disappointing. Otherwise, the transaction was easy. Getting the PCP figures was difficult and percentages kept changing, could have been clearer...

Test drove one last weekend locally and was very impressed. I also tested a Kia E Nero (2020) and was very impressed but it was £6000 more expensive and had no App.

I will most likely sell my existing car locally and get the train up to Burnley.

Same here !.
Should be collecting some time in March 2022.
Had a test drive last Saturday in a Trophy IConnect in Battersea Blue at a local agent.
It's a big improvement over our original ZS EV.
The larger 72.6 kw/h battery is a massive and welcome upgrade.
Would I replace our current model for the face lift in the new up and coming standard range ? - NO.
Although the improvements are really welcome, the range of the 72 kw/h pack is the biggest pull for us.

I've ordered a Blue Trophy. I was pretty set on getting a 5 but happened to arrive at just the right time to have a go in the ZS and it just felt like more car for the money.

The ZS should go nicely with my MGF, which has been my daily for the last 9 years now. Probably about time it got retired to weekend and track duties.
