Thats pretty good tbh... and probably a lot cheaper than an actual designed product

I like the idea of a sealed box that can just be removed quickly I think it makes more sense

Mad, this only for the 2022 facelift ZS EV ... whatever happened to the long, long wait & hype for the orginal (2021) ZS EV. Time-wasters.

I would like to order one also, but does it have to be fixed in place do you know?
I am hoping it just slots in somehow, as I don’t know whether I would want to be drilling under the bonnet.

They bolt into existing holes. Apparently. Not actually seen one yet.

I wonder...

The safety rating of these cars are dependent on a lot of different parameters.

One is pedestrian safety, and more specifically how "gentle" the car is to a persons head, if you run into them with the car, and they "fold over" and bang their head on the bonnet.

So...If you add a rigid case like this, i would assume that rating is going to be affected, because they will now not be able to deform the bonnet as much with their head, because there is a rigid metal box underneath.

On that note...I wonder if the authorities or insurance companies will consider this a technical modification that will affect safety rating, and so on. ?

Ouch that's expensive for what is essentially just a "laundry basket" material wise.

I know price is higher because they dont have as many units to distribute the development costs, and the tooling needed to make this, but holy moly, that's expensive
