    MG4 X-Power waiting area

https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/mg-motor-uk/mg4-xpower/first-drive Not sure if this has already been posted. Apologies if so. Just a straight line sleeper racer then.

    MG4 Last decision

I'm a member of multiple car forums and I would probably say that the MG4 specifically appears to have the most issues compared to others from minor to quite a few major ones including car rejections from different people. So much so, this would put me off personally from wanting to purchase...

    Speakers!?

Would have to guess that all the 5 speakers are in the front. If so Cupra's literature I think is mis-leading, as if I read that it had 5 speakers I would have expected rear speakers. Not 5 in the front. Wonder if they've recently changed it to having speakers in the back? I wonder if it's...

    Speakers!?

Perhaps it's changed, but a few members on the Cupra Born forum were surprised... Post by CupraV3 » Wed Apr 12, 2023 3:14 pm I debated the Beats audio upgrade when I was ordering mine but decided against it. It was only after getting the car that I found out the standard audio system has no...

    Speakers!?

The Cupra born is the same. Even in top V3 trim ~£40k+ you need to specify the Beats Audio option if you want rear speakers. Crazy IMO.

MG4 Reviews from various online publications

Too many software issues for me to even consider it. I expect a £30k + car to function far better. Glad my oven doesn’t need setting at 250 degrees C just to cook a chicken at 180 degrees C. How cars get through testing before realising to the public baffles me.

    I really like my Trophy

I've always used this method. Gives me more bargaining power as a cash buyer and I own the car at the end. I'm not clever enough to understand the PCP options, especially when it comes to changing to the next car at the end? Do you have to stump up another 30% deposit, or is there residual...

First car, first week, first scrape :(

I certainly would agree there, although in my case I didn't crash my 1st slightly battered car, but waited until my 2nd brand-new car!.......Oops!

    Dropping like a stone

Indeed they are. But a nearly 10 year old one is £7,500. I would bet my house, car and cat that it was at least double that 10 years ago. Hence why I don't think an MG4 will cost the same when it's 10 years old as it does now which is MG4London's prediction that it will...

    A new EV disruptor?

https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/volkswagen/355735/new-volkswagen-id2all-concept-previews-future-affordable-electric-car That might be my first EV if it looks anything like that and the price is around the £25 - £30 k mark. Got to wait till 2026 mind you.

    New small Tesla

I'm still waiting for that "something else" in the EV world. I want to stay around the Golf sized car, which currently I've got the choice of MG4, ID3, Cupra Born, Leaf. Whilst there's going to be an Electric Astra & 308 they're not based on ground up EV platforms. I was hoping Tesla's...

    New small Tesla

If Tesla do actually manage to make a smaller model for around the £25 - 30k mark, the equivalent sized competitors will likely have brown pants and MG's disrupter model will have a direct competitor with far superior software and EV know how. VW group will have the biggest worry on if Tesla...

For those looking to collect their MG4 this week…

That would be my worry Leni16, whilst at the moment, MG are deservedly receiving lots of plaudits and awards for making affordable (compared to other manufacturers) EV's that are actually decent to drive and live with, ultimately their success will be judged on the longevity of these cars. Time...

MG4 EV (Trophy) 0 to 60mph (0-100Km/h approx) timed run - faster than advertised!

For everyday driving with instant torque, this is more than fast enough IMO. In years gone by that was hot hatch territory and that was considered fast.
