Yes, I'm not the best one to advise on software, but I think you are going the right way.

    Connectivity

My apologies for the delay in informing you, but I have sorted the problem. Re-installed Android Auto on my phone, then just link it t the car again. Again my apologies, but we have had visitors for a few days, so I have not been on my computer.

The phone will bring up AA but no maps or directions. I did wonder about disconnecting 12v battery and reset.

    Connectivity

Hi Android Auto and my phone have suddenly lost connectivity with my 2 year old MGZSEV. My phone is still showing the car on Bluetooth, but no phone book, and Android Auto fails to connect. Any suggestions?

    Non MG Dealer Servicing Risks

I love the MG but it doesn't float very well. ;-)

    Non MG Dealer Servicing Risks

Perhaps you misunderstood my post. The service cost was £77.88 (inc vat) the rest was for ferry and overnight stay. No main dealer in Orkney. Like I said main dealers are OK if you have one.

    Non MG Dealer Servicing Risks

In the islands main dealers are like mobile signals "Great if you have one". Main dealer service would cost service charge plus £300 pounds.

Yes you can, but then you get people knocking on the window saying "Do you know your lights are on.;-)

    Radio

With Covid restrictions I tend to sit in the car while my wife does the supermarket shop. Is there a way to extend the time the radio can play before it switches off?

Range when using adaptive cruise control or MG Pilot

Cruise control is very good on motorways, and fairly level terrain. but as I have found in hilly areas it is as I stated braking going down hill, if it exceeds the set speed and accelerating hard to get up to set speed when going up hill. Try it.

Range when using adaptive cruise control or MG Pilot

Any car is less efficient in Cruise control. The car will brake unnecessarily when going down hill accelerate hard to get up to "Set" speed when going on level or uphill.

    Noisy brakes

A light pressure on the brake pedal as you move off usually clears the rust from the brake pads. I used to get the same on my ICE cars every morning, but then we are only 200 yards from the sea.

    OK it's a fair cop. ;-)

    T shirt Add.

Is it right we get £18 for wearing a T shirt advertising MG? If so does it apply to just one family member? ;-)

    BMS Update

That's what I thought. I will probably have mine serviced on the island. A saving of £200 +. We have an excellent EV specialist in Orkney with 13 + years experience.

    BMS Update

There has been a lot of talk about the "Bad BMS" update. I picked my ZS EV up in October 2020. Everything seems to be OK> I think it was programmed before the bad BMS. What is the advantage of the new BMS? Bearing in mind it will be quite costly to take the car to an MG Dealer (Ferry costs etc.)

    Seat belt Warning light

Just a guess, probably for baby seat restraints.

    Eco/Kers

It's just something I have always wondered, not being too technically minded. It always seems like driving with one foot resting on the brake. I know it's not but it was just a thought.;-)
