I think I've seen maybe 5 in the last 8-9 months I've seen more Tesla taxis than MG5s :confused: I see a fair few ZS around but only very rarely the EV model

I was thinking there would only be screw holes to cover (assuming I can access the screws without taking the roof apart) but thinking more about it now I don't know how to fill / cover it without it looking terrible.

I only have on street parking too. I save a little on charging using the Bonnet app. It covers the chargers around me but doesn't include gridserve so not much use if you need to charge at one of the motorway services. Gridserve used to be cheaper than Bonnet in the good days of last year

I did mine a long time ago so can't remember the details exactly but in general I think I took a usb stick out to the car , formatted in the car (car added some files to the stick), took it back to the pc to update with the software and then back to the car to update the car I've only done it...

For me the roof bars are unnecessary and (I think) cause extra wind noise / drag at higher speeds. Anyone remove them?

I'm on the most recent version of 15.5 I have trouble with it "crashing" which makes it unstable / unreliable but I wouldn't say it has stopped carplay from functioning. I didn't know there was a new firmware available, I wish the car would get updates like most of the other EVs out there...

I don't know if my google skills are letting me down but I can't find it in stock on ebay or any of the top google hits. Looking for the official one, not worth the effort for fakes (which is what I'm trying to replace 😒)

I haven't tried this but I'll give it a go. I open maps on my phone, get the route set, and then connect the cables.

I was just thinking exactly the same. They were slightly breakeven when I joined but now they are considerably cheaper than the chargers around me, plus they keep giving away discount codes. This can't be sustainable.

(y) I haven't tried this specific cable but in general I like the quality of the Anker brand so I'll give this cable a try. I'm guessing this might be a case of musical cables 🤦‍♂️

Do you leave it plugged in all the time? i.e. even when not using the car

DC charging - the most common networks I use are Osprey and Gridserve. I don't feel like there's much difference between these two.

Also for me, they really need to include gridserve if they want to cover long distance travel since those are the ones at the service stations.

I wish the session timer would count down instead of up. Counting up doesn't really tell me anything. The osprey app tells me the battery % as well as the amount of time left - Bonnet really should be the same I think.

Thanks for the video. Do you really need to upload proof of ownership, etc, etc, in the Tesla app just to start a charge? edit: I stopped at the first question - entering the VIN. Haven't needed this for any of the other apps so didn't have it handy
