Anyone had “ECU coolant overheating” red warning and then the fan in the bonnet of the car goes into maximum mode!? My MG5 is not drivable now, so will have to ask MG recovery to transport it to my dealer for yet another fix. Had enough of this car!

Damn it! The fault is back already!

Fixed with replacement cpu module. Good to have car back! Drives like new again! They even washed it.

MG Peter Vardy has my car for over a week now, they were doing a full software update after MG advised on how to attempt to fix the fault code, but not heard back. I believe I’m the first to have this reported…… will report back once I heard what happened to my car.

I have Lanoguard’d the underside and cavities since delivery day and respray the natural smelly stuff every autumn before winter! I just didn’t trust the rust proofing from factory.

Mine is a SR so doesn’t even any driving aids…. No idea what it is. Good news is that MG has relocated to near me in Aberdeen to Peter Vardy, so booked in for end of Oct. Earliest they can do it, as they are just finding their feet at the dealership just now! Lots of cars, no Cyberster yet.

Same here. New battery fitted, still self discharging overnight. I now trickle charge the 12V in my garage when I don’t drive it. I get random Parking system faults when the 12v discharges itself! Going to ask MG to sort it. New battery didn’t sort it in the end, but my 2.5 years old Pre-FL...

Finally got new battery Bosch S4 005 60ah from Costco. Fully charged up with trickle charger, seems better for a few days, then Parking System would come up again!! That’s it, it’s going into MG for them to sort.

Anyone had this fault!? Tried 12v disconnect - no different Booked in for 26th Aug, but 🤷🏻‍♂️ Not wanting to travel 40 miles to nearest MG garage, I tried charging the 12V battery overnight with my 2amp trickle charger/conditioner - it didn’t fix it immediately, but then a day or so later...

Just heard from local MG Service team, GILLANDERS are leaving MG group as a dealer network: Don’t know who will replace them!? will have to get my Mg serviced at Brechin instead…. Anyone near Aberdeen know the situation?

Cost do second service, including brake fluid change and AA cover - £190 including VAT at Gillanders. Sat in the new MG5 - looks more relevant, same driving position, better interior and materials (just). There’s rear interior lights now. The problem for me is the annoying touch screen...

Same boot - different measurement LR has split boot and all the safety tech. SR - roof rails rated at 35kg LR - roof rails rated at 75kg Same rails, just type approval is different.
