Had the car on charge last night (MG5 pre-facelift) and when I went to remove charging cable this morning I noticed all four windows were wide open.
As it had rained in the night the seats were all wet. Windows closed fine, and all all seems normal otherwise with the car and it is charged up...
Headlines in todays paper!
"Ministers are warning that Chinese electric cars imported to the UK will enable Beijing to spy on British citizens"
Is it another of those conspiracy theories?
My SEG contract with OVO energy ends in a few weeks time. I was paid last year at a rate of 4p/unit and exported 919kWh to receive a total of £36 for the year.
I do hope today's rates are much higher now, I'd be interested to hear what's being offered by other companies.
I've had a Project-ev charger for 12 months now. It all worked well until last week, when when Project-ev suggested an upgrade to the Electric Miles app. I didn't find much benefit in this and it also did not have a solar charge option so deleted it. However, this disabled my connection to...
I had a Project -EV home charger fitted at the same time as my solar pv/battery system last October. It was only £150 to buy and install and works fine through my phone app. My only criticism is when I tried it on Solar or Solar+ mode it started charging OK at first and then soon began pulling...
I switched to Octopus in September to catch the 5p night rate for charging the car and home battery. Yes, that worked out great and am off-grid for most of the day. However, all my savings in the electric have been negated by the huge increase in gas! My gas on Ovo was 2.94p/kWh and on Octopus...
So far only Tesla, but they say coming soon, Landrover, Jaguar, VW. They also list OHME and Wallbox chargers. Nothing about MG, but they do ask for other integrations, so maybe they're working on it.
Have just been offered to switch from Octopus Go to Intelligent Octopus. Same daytime rate at 25.08p but extended cheap rate 5.00p from 23.30h - 05.30h. So six hours of cheap rate rather than four. Is there a catch? I presume we can still charge our home batteries in that time or is it just for...
Yes we use a heat pump in the summer months to heat a pool. Project Solar did our installation, and although expensive, it seems they gave us a good deal with the Project-EV hom charger!
I have a domestic 18kWh Foxess battery and 5.9kW pv system. There is not much solar generated at present and the battery gets topped up every morning at the 5p tariff which keeps us going for most of the day. I do not do many miles in winter at present and wondering whether it is possible to tap...
Can anyone with a Project EV charger tell me what is the difference between the charging rate "Solar" and "Solar +" I've tried both and can't see any difference.
In the manual it says the solar rate limits the power to 1kW between 8am and 8pm but does not mention anything about "Solar +".
Thanks
