Matte screen protector and suede type dash cover

I like this screen film, comes from Germany, about £10 for a pack of 2 bought on Amazon or eBay. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BQWZJQ3B?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title Less reflections and fingerprints do not show up due to the matte finish. Also a AliExpress suede dash cover...cheap enough...

    X power squealing brakes

Finally got my squealing brakes problem fixed! They were extremely loud, hurt your ears bad if someone was stood near it. Started off doing mostly it in reverse and after multiple visits to the dealer where they first claimed it was excessive use of regen they replaced the discs and pads which...

Paint Rusty Wheel Hub with Wheel still on

My Xpower is going back to Leasing company next Friday.. I sent pictures of the rusty wheel hubs to ask if I would be charged.. £80 per wheel! Shocking! So I have ordered some Smooth Silver hammarite (tin) and was planning the quickest easiest method to paint them.. I'm thinking if I'm very...

    Australian 2026 MG4 models announced

They've finally announced which refreshed MG4s will be available here in Australia. Just the two. The RWD Essence 64 and AWD Xpower. Article has all the details. Well priced IMHO. $40,000 drive away for the Essence and $48,000 for the Xpower. That's around 20,000 and 24,000 pounds for you...

    My new LiFePO4 12V battery

Hearing that some people have had issues about the factory standard 12v lead acid battery going flat and not lasting very long, I have bought and fitted a 40 Ah LiFePO4 battery. Many of these batteries are not suitable for year round automotive use as they cannot accept a charge at...

Does anyone in their early 20s have an XPOWER?

I am thinking of upgrading from an mg4 Trophy to an xpower but my current insurance won't seem to insure me for the car so I would have to switch to a different one, anyone had any experience with this?

12 Volt battery going flat, no obvious reason.

I have owned an MG4 X-Power for 2 years after previously owning an MG4 Trophy. In general I have been very pleased with both cars. But I had a flat 12V battery recently for no apparent reason. I eventually managed to open the driver’s door with the manual key. But fiddly but ok. Everything dead...

Just found out I could get an xpower instead of my trophy for a few thousand more

Feels a little tempting to basically half the acceleration for a bit extra although I would lose around 40 miles of range.

Would an XPower be good in the Snow?

A bit left field but... A question was raised in another set of forums I frequent (ski.com.au) asking about the suitability of the "AWD MG4" for driving in the snow. I'd been discussing how we chose the MG for our needs and how it had worked well for us. One of our fellow "ski.com"ers...

    Charging Issue

The last few times I have charged at home the car only charges for a short time (25-40min) then stops, charger shows either EV is preventing charging or EV is Full (its not), I can restart it in the app but it then runs for even less 1-6min. I tried a public 7kW charger and it stopped within...

    Hi Everyone, My Xpower

Hi Everyone My Xpower was purchased privately on 7th Feb from Grimsby and whilst I didn't plan on buying one quite so soon, It was a bargain I couldn't resist. Registered in December 25, I paid £21k with only 56miles on the clock. Totally as new. Drove perfect the 200miles home to near...

    Yucky Yuk Yuk

Yesterday, on a short trip, I moved into a filter lane to turn right into a shopping centre. There was one car already stopped at the lights. Took my foot off the power to slow down behind it, but it did not slow much and I had to use the brake. I usually time it so it just comes to a halt. Once...

    Unused features, change my mind..?

So, I've had the xpower for 2 years now and it HAS a bunch of features that I just don't use (or actively avoid using). I'm wondering if I'm just stuck in my ways/thinking though so I'm open to hearing if others use them and like them etc. While this could be a general MG4 thread I wasn't sure...

Miles per Minute (Best Charging Session)

Was updating ye olde charging record spreadsheet today and noticed that there had been some pretty good fast charger sessions. My best charging session was adding 7.6 miles of range for each minute the car was on charge so 10 minutes of charge added 76 miles That was 15% to 53% on a Tesla rapid...

One month with the S6, regrets?

So today I’ve had my long range for a month, being honest coming from an x power I wanted to go with the dual motor version cause I loved the power of 2 motors but having read pretty much every review of the S6 a lot of the reviewers recommended the Trophy Long range. Now this is not a critism...
