I just had my first service for our MG4 LR 77 (aka Trophy ER) and very happy.
Our service interval is 40,000kms/2 Years for the 1st and they reminded me that the 2nd is due in another 2 years or at 80,000kms. I'd got to 42,415kms by the time I could get it booked in. They're very busy!
The number of services I'd have had done in our old ICEs is somewhat larger
It cost $341 all up (about 180 quid / 205 euro) which was $200 labour, $110 for a pollen filter, some brake fluid & incidentals plus $30 tax.
My brake pads were still just fine, 9mm on the front and 8mm on the back. How good is regen braking
They reported my tyres as needing replacement, which I was already aware of, albeit whilst the counter dude suggested the police could pick me up for it, I pointed out they couldn't as the tread depth indicators were still about 4mm on the backs and 7mm on the fronts from the "minimum".
That being said, I'm going to get new tyres when I get back from my next long distance trip (4,000kms) in a fortnight. I'm looking around at what decent "EV" tyres (low rolling resistance etc) are on special ATM.
I didn't bother asking them to update the software. They loaded the latest version when we bought the car in Nov '24 and it's fine for me. There's nothing that really annoys me with it. Sure the LKA/ELK could be better, but it's not poor enough to justify paying them to update it.
So, all in all, very happy!
What a great car
