I've had a Frank Spencer "Betty" moment. Testing the MG4 fitting on the trailer modifications, and the front wheels went just over the front railing of the tilt trailer. The problem occurred when I tried to reverse back off the trailer but there is no drive with the brake applied, tried to use the park brake but it won't release unless the foot brake is applied ...... finally tried with 30% load on the throttle and released the foot brake .... it rolled forward until the sill rails are resting on the trailer and the computer restricts the drive in reverse so I can't drive it back to drag the front wheels back onto the trailer. Tried jacking the trailer up and packing under the tyres, but there isn't enough forward weight on the trailer to gain any clearance at the sill rails ..... even tried jacking the back of the trailer up to force the front down ,,,, still no gain as far as clearance under the sill rails.

Everything under the front has a plastic shield over it, so I can't see anywhere that would be solid enough to jack the car up while pushing the trailer down ....... the sun has gone now, so can't see enough to not risk doing damage ..... so, any help will be much appreciated .....

Unfortunately, that part is sitting on the trailer along with the plastic under tray about level with the door hinges

Yikes! Can you get a trolley jack under the front wheel itself and lift it enough to slide a wooden ramp under it to the front edge of the trailer? Then repeat on other side, then reverse back up the inserted ramps?

I’m wondering if you could jack the car up using the front subframe, but I don’t know if that would be safe/advisable. Or maybe somehow chock the front wheels and jack up the back end, and using wooden blocks supporting the car get closer and closer to the front end? By “sliding” the jack along the edge toward the front so to speak. But I don’t know if you can jack on any point on the sill.

It is a tricky spot you’re in that’s for sure

can you lift the tow bar up? Or would that put too much pressure on the car underside? If so you could put blocks under the wheels and lower the trailer.
2nd thought, force wedges under the front of the wheels, Have you got a sledge hammer?
Shouldn't be too hard if the wedges are sufficiently tapered

When I build up under the tyres, it just lifts the trailer, even with a jack under the rear of the tilt platform. I'll try again this afternoon, wife has hospital appointments all day with this foot ulcer problem

A trip to the big hammer hardware shop, 4 x 2.4mtr treated pine sleepers ...... but their saw was broken. In the boot of the EB Falcon .... about 200mm too long, so exhaust fumes for the 40km return trip to Mannum
Out with the Ozito electric chainsaw, cut into 600mm lengths and this gave me enough under the tyres to tilt the trailer back on it's axle, then jack under the back of the tilt platform and that lifted the car up enough to get a piece of wood each size between the trailer platform and the chassis rail. Coffee and lunch, then with a bit of luck, I can get the scissor jack under the jacking points each side to lift the car enough to block under the wheels till level with the trailer platform. As long as the tilt function is locked down, I should be able to reverse off with jack stands under the back of the trailer chassis ...... fingers crossed

After a back breaking inverter coolant pump replacement on the Prius resulting in medication and sleep, the afternoon turned into evening ..... but at least I have the cut up sleepers under the tyres ..... I'll wait till tomorrow before I attempt to back it off the trailer.

The light was not to the phones liking, so the next one didn't focus
