I've had a Frank Spencer "Betty" moment. Testing the MG4 fitting on the trailer modifications, and the front wheels went just over the front railing of the tilt trailer. The problem occurred when I tried to reverse back off the trailer but there is no drive with the brake applied, tried to use the park brake but it won't release unless the foot brake is applied ...... finally tried with 30% load on the throttle and released the foot brake .... it rolled forward until the sill rails are resting on the trailer and the computer restricts the drive in reverse so I can't drive it back to drag the front wheels back onto the trailer. Tried jacking the trailer up and packing under the tyres, but there isn't enough forward weight on the trailer to gain any clearance at the sill rails ..... even tried jacking the back of the trailer up to force the front down ,,,, still no gain as far as clearance under the sill rails.
Everything under the front has a plastic shield over it, so I can't see anywhere that would be solid enough to jack the car up while pushing the trailer down ....... the sun has gone now, so can't see enough to not risk doing damage ..... so, any help will be much appreciated .....
