My battery consumption gets sticked to the maximum value (29.8 kWh/100 km) but the consumption was almost 34kWh (I calculated afterwards). The question is WHY? My own car is lying in my face. Is everybody ok with that or is it just me?

29.8 kWh/100km is cut-off value of the sensor AFAIK. Also, keep in mind that when you have a consumption higher than 20 kWh/100 km your total energy that can be squeezed out of the battery falls somewhat. So the problem is compounded in winter - low temperatures and high consumption due to heating (of various types) both affect the total range you can get out of the battery.

On the UK model, the minimum reading the display will show is 2 mi/kWh, which is equivalent to what your display is showing at 29.8 kWh/100 km regardless of what the actual consumption is.

Welcome to the forum Giel , first thing to check as as been mentioned earlier is the Intelligent Battery Heater , turn it off. Again the more info you can give will make it easier for members to provide a better answer . Thirdly, depending on the above , there is most likely nothing to worry about! See the " similar threads " below , at the bottom of these posts, its likely your answer is in there. eg : even if the IBH is off, if you have just charged , then go onto an autoroute at 120kmh for 10km without much re-gen , everything cold apart from the heating and A/C the kWh/100km meter will see that short journey as an average for a future prediction of range and usage as after a charge old data is deleted from screen and the calculation start anew. Again sitting in the car not moving , the energy used is added to those for driving again altering the average for a journey. Potentially you can sit in the car with the heater full on, go nowhere and have a consumption reading of 50kWh / 0kms. Poor example because it would never read that but just trying to get a point across.

First, thank you for all the replies! It really helps. Interesting to see that it might be the cut-off value of the sensor, but although not completely sure, I thought I sometimes saw 30.4, but mostly 29.8 kWh. And then, doing the same thing a week later, it tells me it is 21.6. (all on eco mode)
Also, because it's an Xpower, I noticed that when the consumption is already max, I can switch from normal mode to sport mode, but it doesn't accelerate faster. I CAN, however, turn everything off, wait until it drops a little, and then it goes a bit faster. Not sure if to laugh or cry about this. I just think that the overall consumption is very high, also compared to what I see on some YouTube videos. The incident I described was 102 km drive and the battery went from 80% to 22% with 102 Km drive on eco and one pedal driving. I will repeat it tonight (without the battery heating).

When’s the last time you did a <10% to 100% charge? The BMS might have drifted and be unsure of the real battery capacity? Not sure if that would show up as high consumption though, and not sure if it can drift enough to be that drastic.

3-4 weeks ago. Can't hurt to try that too, thx!
