Bonnet gas struts fitted.

Bought a set of gas struts & brackets off eBay, arrived & fitted today.
Makes lifting the bonnet simple & easy. A bit of a coat to fit but worth the hassle.
I didn’t realise what the white strip was until I’d fitted them, they were the bonnet nuts, I wondered why there were only 2 in the kit?‍

I was tempted to fit the kit thats available for the 4 - BUT decided not too

I have just taken delivery of an EV accessories Ireland Frunk for our ZS - But will stay with the old Stay Me thinks ...

Something tells me not to trust the AliEpress Struts ..

Hope yours Works as you want and you have no issues .. But It does look Good have to agree

These aren’t aliexpress I got them off eBay. They work brilliantly, it’s so easy to open & no messing with the stay.

I do you don’t get any unsightly bends in the bonnet as there are no mounting points specifically designed for the extra strut loads.

I didn’t get mine from aliexpress, they were on eBay. Nothing to not trust really. Only issue is no instructions which would have saved me a bit of time, that’s why I put the photos up.

Believe me, there are no issues with the bonnet strength. Have a look at your bonnet it’s not a cheap plastic thing.
