Car Cleaning Products

When I ordered the MG4 I specified a body coating and they applied AutoGlym's Lifeshine. It came with an after care pack containing all sorts of cleaners and shampoos. I've had the car nearly a couple of months now and have washed it only twice. I'm well impressed with the finish and the rain water forms droplets that collect together and just runs off. I follow the Autoglym instructions, though I have always washed my cars by the same method, removing mud and surface gunk with a hose and soft brush or sponge before washing with the shampoo provided. It gleams in the sunshine, the pearlescent Camden Grey just sparkles! It is easy to clean as most of the muck comes off with the hoses less likelihood of scratching. Time will tell though as it will be subjected to tar spots and chips I'm sure.
What I have found though, there is a seal on the edge of the back doors, over the wheel arch and this gets really dirty. You've got to get down and look at the door edge to spot it. I hope this helps, but I would certainly recommend the coating.

Thought I'd tack onto this one, rather than create a new thread.

Is this a good deal?

I use turtle wax wash and wax with just a hose and extra large noodle mitt, I dry with turtle wax dry it wet spray but I rub it dry with some synthetic chamois cloths instead of driving off with it.
I do this once or twice a month and the rain just beads off the car until the next wash.
For the windows I like turtle wax clear view glass polish. For the tyres I'll just use any tyre polish, spray or foam - spray is easier to apply but foam lasts longer.
I'll wax the car with turtle wax hybrid ceramic polish two or three times a year.
Inside, I just hoover it and rub the plastics and dash down with a damp cloth and just used microfiber cloths on the screens.

Amazon are having a Spring sale starting on the 10th so it might be worth waiting until then. Also Karcher have a sale on at the moment.

Great posts, thanks everyone.

Having made a serious booboo with our old PW and stripped some paint off a plastic boot handle, the thing I like about the high end Karchers are the controls to tone done the paint stripper effect.

I have seen the P57 before, and it has been recommended to me before, but, call me stupid, I wouldn't know how to do that. I've looked at the instructions and it doesn't seem straight forward.

Am I stupid, or am I missing something?
