It's 3.5 to 4m long, end to end. (I think 3m from Type 2 plug to EVSE box, then 0.5m from EVSE box to 3-pin plug, so a little over 3.5m in total).Would you kindly tell me the length of the 3 pin home charger that is supplied with the car. Thank you.

Sorry and please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but I was told more than once UK MG4 and I think all MG models in fact coming to the UK are only single phase only up to 7kw.The MG one is north of £250 for a Single Phase Type 2. I had it on order till someone mentioned about the Trophy having 3 Phase charging and the 3 Phase cable able to be used for everything. It was £85 through the Tesla app and is decent quality. Glad I saw the post as saved me a fortune and allows me to get 11kw AC (on the Trophy/LR) if I use a 3 Phase charger at my Brothers work.
Why single phase? The LR and Trophy trims can charge on 3-phase at over 7kW - up to about 10kW.Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment.
You can use any good quality 32A single phase type2 to type2 cable and probably cheaper than the MG one.
I confirmed today that the Trophy (also applies to LR) charges on 3-phase if you use a 3-phase cable (not the cheapo cable sometimes supplied with the car). That’s for a UK spec model and not part of the first batch - ours was picked up in December.Sorry and please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but I was told more than once UK MG4 and I think all MG models in fact coming to the UK are only single phase only up to 7kw.
3 phase 11kw is only available in other countries or Europe.

Well I have ordered an SE and the dealer has told me that it is supplied with a 5m three pin charger. He has recommended that I also buy a Type 2 charging cable if I want to use a non tethered commercial charging station.I still can’t get a definitive answer on what type of charging cable/cables come with the MG4.
I’ve now spoken to several dealers.
‘It depends/varies’ I’ve been told by some dealers, they are coming through with a type 2 only by others.
Surely it must be supplied with a 3 pin charge cable as standard so that you can at least charge at home if you don’t have a wall box?
The 3 pin charger has been seen as an emergency charger amongst other things, so it should absolutely be standard supply with the car.

Now that sounds pretty good doesn't it. I will give that a go. Thank you.Download the Tesla app, set up an account. Then you can order a 4m 32amp Type 2 cable for £85.
The 3-pin ‘granny’ charger cable is a bit more expensive than a simpler type2 to type2 public charging cable.Thanks. I’m guessing MG would rather supply the car with a 3 pin than a type 2, as the type 2 costs more…
Ok - thanks.
