charging flap

hi .

ive read in forum posta that you can buy the charging flap cheaply.

where is a good place to try , mine broke off when the cable hit it.
I was going to try glue it back in and dave a few pennies , but if it can be bought cheap then it's a no brainer.

thanks for replay , I shoud have added its for the face-lift one 2022 , only one I saw on ebay was one someone has repaired

Isn't it the hinge/arm that breaks, as long as the outside is not damaged you could make up a aluminium replacement.

Might need to have a look and see if it can be strengthened before it breaks.

Camec had a caravan door handle that was easily broken but you could reinforce it with some coat-hanger wire and 2 part Araldite by curving the wire to the same shape.

Broke mine when I tripped over the charge cable in the dark. I finally got it fixed at the dealer at the next service. You have to remove the front of the car to get et it to fix a new one. A minor service, MOT and flap replacement cost me about £450. IMO not worth the hassle of trying to fix it yourself.

im trying to source one cheap , the bumper will be coming off anyway to sore tge wing

had a look , only one I see if a broken repaired one . mines is the 2022 model .
ive read on here people getting them at £40 , dealer wants 175
