My MG4 LR since new has never put in charge that I requested. Ohme asked me to take to dealer for check. They’ve said there’s nothing restricting charge going into. However it only ever puts in 3.48 kW power with my home charger. Anyone else had this issue?

Welcome
If you select 16amp rather than AC current you will get 3.4kW from a 7kW charger. have you tried other 7kW chargers, are you using a single phase type 2 cable on a 3 phase charger?

Using charger [ cable ] that came with car. It fits into Ohme e pod charger then into my car. Also have a granny charger but not used that yet. I need to try it in my friends charger as she has a MG4 too. Not sure how to select current?

[ Edit moderator: added "cable" after "charger" ]

Is this for scheduled charging? If you plug in and press "Max Charge" on the Ohme App, what is the charge rate then?

You are sure the "AC Current" option is selected in the vehicle Charge Setting screen as Gary asked?

Is your CT Clamp correctly fitted?

Is the cable faulty? Do you know someone with eg a Home Pro with a tethered cable you could use to test?

Is Octopus your supplier? If so, you might want to join and post here - Bei Facebook anmelden

Does it work OK on a puplic destination 7kW EVSE and have you tried any DC CCS rapid chargers?

Not sure how to select current?
Tap on the Battery tile ... under the Charging tab, at the bottom left (probably) you may see Maximum Current or similar - tap on that and it gives you the option to choose a maximum charging rate. However, if it says Maximum Current (it probably will) then this may be a red herring, as the car tends to default to maximum next time you start it up.

But selecting a different value and then changing back to maximum may help, if the stored value and displayed value have become misaligned. (Cars these days are really computers on wheels, and we've probably all experienced the odd glitch when it comes to computers). :)

All the above plus:

What car have you specified in the home pod's settings? That determines what it sets as the maximum power it will supply to the car. Note, in the 9 months I've had my home the MG4 database has changed the names in the MG selection list. Try all of them to see what it thinks this max power is.

Just found that AC current is showing but when you tap it, it’s 6A that’s highlighted. Is this what it should be?

Further to my post above, this is what my e-pod shows:

And if you tap manage My EVs:

This sets the e-pod's max charging power. Note I do not have an EV tariff and, dynamic charging switched off, will always charge at Max Charge of 7kW. (The Max Charge button only appears when the car is connected. I am away from home so can't provide an image.) See also in the e-pod's advanced settings:

The Facebook page is called Ohme Integration with Octopus Intelligent Go. I did link to it earlier but got that odd Bei facebook anmelden link when I C&Pd it.

... thats because the CT clamp is not getting a reading, thus defaults to 16A. If your on IOG this is an advantage anyway, as all your house electric is at the off peak rate as long as the car is charging, thus the slower it charges, the longer the off peak period.

Do you have a CT Clamp? Absence of such requires Load Balancing to be Off which is your case. But then you should get full power. From the commissioning document:

As @Tig170 said if your CT Clamp is not working and there load balancing s not set then power may be restricted.

Do you definitely have a 32A cable ?
I was thinking you might have a 16A one, especially if it was free with the car. 🤔

I thought the same but when I searched the internet I could not find anything about EV charging cables having current-limiting circuits although at the back of my mind I'm sure I remember ready something of the like.
