My MG4 EV has stopped charging at port on wall however works with a normal plug any ideas the light comes on but not charging even when I set a scheduled charge, so I have tried it with the standard plug in cable it works. Any ideas why it stopped working?

What wall EVSE do you have and have you turn it off for 10 minutes at the isolation switch or in your fuse board?

If it works with the standard plug-in cable (presumably the Granny lead ?) then it would suggest to me that the Alfen EVSE has a fault.

You could try charging someone else's EV to doublecheck if you know anyone.

OR ... it is your Type 2 - Type 2 cable that is faulty. (The photo shows that this is an untethered EVSE so you use your own cable). To rule out the cable being faulty you could try using your cable at another Type 2 charge point (e.g. at a supermarket).

I had problems on my MG4 not charging. It was (told by the dealer) the cherging socket flap sensor telling the car it was closed when it was actually open. It worked anyway not had the problem since.
