Cleaning Matte Green Paint.

Hi All

I've washed my car today and used matte friendly snow foam and shampoo.

Is it just me? There seems to be a reflection on the rear door panel, does it look like the paint has become reflective. I haven't used any polish.

Thanks

Looks like, how was it prepared by the garage? Im sure others who have that colour will soon respond. @Bricktop X PWR are you there?…..

I am!

Mines dull, but sometimes it can look shiny. Just a trick of the light I reckon, just like the 2nd picture.

When I went to visit an MG garage I was warned by the dealership, if I order to Matte Green to make sure I wash in straight lines. Any circular motion (like Daniel son) would cause the car to lose its matte and become shiny.

As a rule, I wash in straight lines, but that's not because of what has been said to you.

Even if you have Arms Like Popeye and are pressing really hard, there is no way on earth your going to turn your Matte Paint shiny.

Certainly not with the correct Shampoo anyway.

Polish yes.

Multitude of Wash Products specifically for Matte finishes?
No.

7 Months and a day since my first ever post.

She's still looking Mighty Fine.

Couple of tiny stone chips, but nothing else to write home about.

I was worried about looking after this finish before I bought the car, but it's turned out to be a doddle.

It's certainly a lot less work than gloss.
