Do you have a link for these? I have a 10mm spanner, but googling gives me various prices of around £16…TIA
It’s OK - found on aliexpress. Ok if you can stand the ‘positivo’ and ‘negativo’ labels 🙂 Around £6 but 50 day free delivery…

Like most I've built up a collection of tools over the years so I thought I'd have a rummage in the toolbox for surplus 10mm spanners. I found 8 so I think I could spare one to keep in the car!

A kindred spirit appears to pervade this community 🤩

The one I selected was actually part of an owner's tool kit supplied with a previous car!

You'll be lucky, it was bought in 1983 and a rust bucket when I sold it!

Hi all

Did anyone find a battery isolator that does fit the MG5 without the need to cut anything? If so could you ping me a link please

Thanks Charles

Wouldn't it be better if MG fixed the recurring fault, rather than us having to keep taking the damn thing apart.?
Yes, totally agree. It seems the whole infotainment system is buggy and TBH I don't really understand the issue with sometimes having to disconnect the 12V battery following a rapid charge.... It's not happened to me yet but I'm sure it will at some point.

I guess the issue is that if MG accept there is a problem they will have to do a recall and they're not gonna want to do that!!

I would like to think all these issues have been fixed in the facelift version but it doesn't really help all of us with the current versions

Apparently not, it would seem the facelifts don't like Rapid chargers and according to one chap here his has gone back to the dealer twice in 500 miles on the back of a recovery truck.

The info unit in the face lift is huge improvement over the Gen 1 unit.
But it still can be "Caught Out" sometimes by a small glitch.
Yesterday, when booting up the car it did not instantly fire up the unit, bringing on the radio as normal.
There was a small delay, then it booted from the main MG screen welcome screen ( which looks very nice ).
This then interrupted the "Ready" bong sound when the radio came on.
I have not witnessed the "Black Screen Of Death" on the unit YET !.
Our info unit would crash in the above fashion, on a fairly regular basis on the Gen 1 version.
