Does anyone believe this? (Internal/external temperature readings)

While temperature is the topic. I have noticed my water bottle does not freeze when I let it lie on the floor in the MG4 even in -5°C outdoors. In my old Toyota Auris the water bottle freezes totally overnight in same temp (same night and the cars are parked side by side).

But if I let the water bottle stand in the centre console it will freeze partly overnight.

Maybe residual heat from the battery pack is stopping it freezing?
Maybe, but this has happend when the car has not been used in a couple of days too. On the other hand it's a pretty big battery though.

Well, summer ain't here yet, still a bit chilly. Kept in a cool garage and somewhat surprised at the internal temp according to the app. 2100(ish) ??
Haven't even been in the car for 3 days!

Yeah 87 degs appears occasionally accompanied by no outside temperature. Goes back to normal next time. ?
Weird but goof to know, thank you.
By amusing coincidence we had a complex power cut tonight just as I posted the earlier post. I was literally going out to set a charge for tonight and everything went off. My phone was down to 30% and no tv, so what's to entertain? . Realised I could charge the phone off the car, so set that going and was thinking about setting up the V2L ( ?) as haven't tried it yet - bedtime cuppa, but we've got a camping gas stove and mrs enjoys using that, so one trip into the loft later....
We are now running off a streetlamp(?) and no doubt they'll be around to effect a permanent fix tomorrow.
Octopus OCPP schedule set for overnight. ?.
Kettle on for bedtime brew.
Happy daze.
....aaaand oh yeah, int temp back down to 17°C ??

.....and then, as the street lights went off for their 0030-0530 snooze, so did the house ( I asked them!!). So, no car charge, no hot water, no domestic battery charge. ?

Merged into the earlier thread discussing internal temperature anomalies.
Oops, sorry. Thanks. It's a thing, who knew? Well, obviously everyone 'cept me ?.
To be fair, half a bottle of wine and some Polish Bison Grass vodka later and a whole evening of power failure adventures later my thought processes weren't as organised as they should be. Still, at least I didn't buy anything ??... at least I don't think I did { checks bank acct.}.
Update : Leccy still off ( should come back on at 5!! - GMT or BST?) . Fridge/freezer getting warmer, car not charged ?
...and finally, to bring it back on topic, car temps in app fine, 15/17 ext/int.

Power's back - just the 24 hours then. Apparently 50 year old power supplies are being replaced nationwide, dependant on cost vs outage inconveniences.

Meanwhile, car temp is fine - 14/18 ext/int ??

Funny enough @Rolfe, I noticed a similar disparity yesterday when I went to preheat on the app.
It was a good 6 degrees between inside and outside. (+3 out, + 9 in)
Never thought much of it to be honest.

Just checked again now, and it much more as I would expect.

Can you get this app in the U.K. ? Which app is it?

The iSmart app really does give some interesting temperature readings sometimes.

I really hope it's not accurate, as if it is, it probably means my garage is on fire... ? ?

I get this issue sometimes. It is a bug in the app. When it happens rescan the car again with the app and it would correct itself.
