just loaded my cars onto my account with TFL for visits to London. EV’s must register every year for 100% discount and pay £10, send copies of documents and wait a few weeks for clearance ! How crazy is that!

To be fair it is a congestion charge and your car still takes up space on the roads, you're just getting a big reduction as your space hog isn't coughing out noxious fumes and filth. In the future when all vehicles are clean then the 100% discount won't be available!

Your best bet would be to drive to somewhere like the Westfield shopping centre, charge there and get the tube in the rest of the way....or just take the jaaag

Much as I love my MG I wouldn’t find it too onerous to be driving an XK8. Not the least jealous!

Why not charge at Heston or Chiswick on the way in and then you are sorted?

JCF- it’s 60 odd miles Oxford to West End so your plan would work OK. It’s annoying that the 160 mile range is just not enough to get there and back with safety, especially in winter. But if there were to be a car park near Westend with a rapid charger, We could just arrive there 20mins early and get sorted.

There are some Q Parks around but none are close to Drury Lane. Also 1 charger, what’s the chance it would be in use?
