It started a couple of days ago. All of a sudden, I got a warning saying the front right tyre had low pressure, which was completely untrue. I still topped up both front tyres and drove for about 20 minutes until the warning went away.

Today, the warning has come back again. The MG’s TPMS is showing the correct pressure, and my external TPMS device (which I’ve been using for 4 years) is also showing the correct pressure. So why on earth is it giving me this warning again?

I checked the tyre visually and couldn’t find any nails or punctures. Most importantly, there has been no loss of pressure. How can I fix this? Is there any way in this MG to reset or set the tyre pressure? It’s really annoying, especially when you have an MOT or a PCO inspection booked and the warning pops up right before the appointment.

Can be caused by external temperature drop. I used to get the same issue as winter arrived - I suspect the warning is triggered at a decimal point value of pressure you don't see in the display.

Hi
Front cold tyre pressure should be 2.5 bar, the 2.4bar should set of the alarm but why is the temp 10c ? Lower the pressure then bring back up see the will clear it other wise trip to a garage or tyre place.

Mine did the exact same thing, first time ever. Tyres were genuinely low but I think cold weather was the factor. Pumped 3 up one day, great, next day nsr flagged up, blew that one up, all fine again.

I did set the pressure this morning as 2.6 bars front and 2.2 bars rear. Warning sign went away after 10minutes of drive, but wanna see if it comes back or not.
