I got a multifit after-market spare rim from Bob Jane as a full size spare for an Excite 51. The load rating of the spare rim is 581kg. The load rating of the factory supplied rim is about 670 kg. Is the load rating of the new spare rim ok for an Excite 51?

The Excite 51 / SE SR (in UK parlance) weighs 1655 kg - let's round that up to 1660 kg. As the weight distribution is near-enough 50:50 then that works out at 830 kg per axle, or 415 kg per wheel.

So your spare should be OK, at least for short-term use.

I think your supposed to add an extra 125kg per wheel as payload = so any rating above 540 will be all fine & legal.
